Universitario de Deportes Confirms Debt with La Guaira Has Been Settled

The Communications Manager of Universitario de Deportes, Juan Carlos Ortecho, confirmed that the debt with Club La Guaira for Venezuelan midfielder Arquímedes Figuera has been settled and they are just waiting for some details to be resolved for the player to be with the team in the presentation of the squad.

"That is our goal (to have the Venezuelan player in the Libertadores debut), it is our intention for him to be in our presentation. The debt that existed has been fully paid, today the last installment of his transfer was canceled. I couldn't say he is certain until La Guaira signs the loan and Arquímedes Figuera signs the contract.
