Paraguayan club Guaraní considers ending contract with Gino Guerrero

A few hours ago, the president of Guaraní, Juan Alberto Acosta, confirmed to the Paraguayan media the intention of the institution to terminate the contract with Gino Guerrero, following the public accusation involving the 25-year-old football player. "We do not want that kind of person in our club," he added.

However, the player's representative, Elio Casareto, clarified Gino Guerrero's contractual situation with Guaraní and assured that, to this point, he has not received the document that formalizes the departure of the Peruvian from the Paraguayan club.

In that context, the representative stated that Gino Guerrero asked the club for permission to clarify his situation before the authorities in Asunción, despite the fact that the incident (alleged rape attempt) occurred in a house in the Barcequillo neighborhood in the city of San Lorenzo.

"The player considers himself innocent," added the representative, who also called for caution and not to crucify Gino Guerrero prematurely. "He has the right to defend himself," he clarified from his Twitter account.

"We will see if there really is an attempted rape by Gino Guerrero, he is now with permission to solve this whole problem. However, as long as the player is not sanctioned, we cannot accuse him of anything," said manager Nico Llano to 'La Cátedra'.
