After not renewing his contract with Deportivo Municipal, Diego Mayora quickly found a team and will continue in Peruvian football.
The forward from Pucallpa was officially announced this Saturday as the new forward for Real Garcilaso.
"Diego Mayora joined the Technical Command and immediately carried out physical work at the Celeste House facilities," reads the social media of the Cusco team.
"I come because of the call from 'coach' Oscar, it motivated me that he noticed me, I know it's a serious team, a club that always fights at the top and also goes to the Copa Libertadores," said Diego Mayora in conversations with the local press.
"My expectation is to score many goals for the club, leave a mark and be called here again in the future," he concluded.
NOTE:
Diego Mayora made his professional football debut in 2013 defending the shirt of Sport Loreto. Three years later, he joined Unión Comercio before moving to Argentina to play for Colón, who would then loan him to Municipal in 2017.
