Universitario de Deportes prepares for the departure of Luis Tejada
Although the departure of Luis Tejada has not been ruled out entirely, Universitario de Deportes is silently planning for it. Pedro Troglio is not one to improvise, so he already has a plan in mind to cover this significant loss.
It will be very difficult for the cream fans to forget Tejada's goal-scoring ability, but Troglio would bet on a system with two forwards. In that case, he would use Daniel Chávez (under contract) and Alberto Quintero (natural winger).
The 13 goals scored by ‘Chiquitín’ would be a great precedent for Troglio to consider using him closer to the opponent's area. At least, Quintero has demonstrated solvency and the ability to react in the last play.
Will there be another surprise? It is possible. And everything depends on the continuity of Juan Manuel Vargas. The ‘Loco’ would leave the defensive zone to contribute as a winger, in order to inject aggressiveness to the cream's offense, which will no longer have Raúl Tito (signed for Sport Rosario).
On the other hand, the general administrator of the ‘U’ stated that the doors are not closed for Luis Tejada, as long as the forward adjusts to the club's current budget.
