Adrián Zela wears the stripes throughout 2018. The central defender had already agreed not to go to another club and today officially signed to play the entire year with Deportivo Municipal.
After becoming one of the most consistent players in the league, Zela managed to make the leap to the Peruvian National Team and was part of the play-off round, playing minutes in the match against New Zealand in Lima.
Zela's numbers in 2017 were as follows: he scored 3 goals in 40 Descentralizado matches, and at international level, he played the 2 Copa Libertadores matches against Independiente del Valle from Ecuador.

"I am happy to continue for another year at home, this decision is very important in my football career, I have many objectives for 2018, and I am sure I will achieve them," the defender explained to Municipal's website.
"I am very grateful to the fans for the various displays of affection through social media, I have had great moments and I hope to continue like this, it is time to stay united and not believe in what the press often speculates," he concluded.
