Melgar
Melgar aims to have a good performance in the 2018 Copa Libertadores and for that reason they announced the signing of Argentine midfielder Emanuel Biancucchi, cousin of Lionel Messi and with a vast experience in clubs from Germany, Spain, Brazil, and Paraguay.
After making his debut at Newell's Old Boys in Argentina, Biancucchi, 29 years old, played for 1860 Munich, Girona, Olimpia, Vasco da Gama, Bahía, among others. His last experience was in the Paraguayan championship with General Diaz.
After the signings of Jean Pierre Fuentes, Hideyoshi Arakaki, and Joao Villamarin, Biancucchi is the fourth reinforcement officially announced by Melgar. Although his connection with Messi generates expectations, the midfielder prefers discretion. "He is my cousin, he serves as an inspiration to me, but I don't like it when people only talk about that," he clarified on another occasion.
FBC Melgar is pleased to announce our new reinforcement for the 2018 Season. We welcome Emanuel Biancucchi as our new Red and Black player! #RugeBiancucchi

Biancucchi and Messi are maternal cousins. Both carry the second surname Cuccittini, they grew up in Rosario and were formed in Newell's, although their football careers took different paths. Emanuel's older brother, Maximiliano, is also a football player and plays for Rubio Ñu.
Melgar will compete in the second phase of the Libertadores against Santiago Wanderers, recently relegated from the Chilean First Division.
