There is less and less time to know the verdict of FIFA regarding the appeal made by Paolo Guerrero's defense, against the one-year suspension imposed on him.
On the subject, the Spanish lawyer Juan de Dios Crespo, who joined Guerrero's defense in recent weeks, talked with the program "Football as a field" on RPP, to shed some light on the subject.
"The argument for FIFA's Appeals Tribunal has already been presented, we are waiting for the decision today. If we do not get the reduction we requested, we will go to CAS to request this reduction so that Paolo Guerrero can play in the World Cup," explained the lawyer.
However, the decision of FIFA's Appeals Tribunal would only come out this Thursday, taking into account that the committee will go on recess until January on Friday.
In addition, he clarified that he cannot provide further details of the defense's arguments, nor the new considerations to refute the sentence against the Peruvian forward.
"In principle, it must come out before they go on vacation, one, two or three days. Last week, the appeal was submitted, I cannot give you more details because it is a legal matter and I prefer to keep the arguments to myself and we will wait for what FIFA decides," he added.
