After finishing the Apertura 2017, Club Puebla revealed the list of transferable players, so that the club can renew itself for the Clausura 2018 tournament.
Forwards Jerónimo Amione and Carlos Salom, midfielders Félix Micolta and David Toledo, as well as defender Óscar Rojas, are the players that are no longer part of Enrique Meza's plans, the team's current coach.

With three wins, seven draws and the same number of defeats, Club Puebla finished in fifteenth position with 16 points.
Currently, the club is searching for a new name, since Ricardo Henaine, former owner of the team, won the legal dispute after the López Chargoy family refused to pay royalties for the name and nicknames of the club in 2015.
