The name of Pedro Troglio has reached the administrative offices of the Argentine team Godoy Cruz, which does not have a technical manager after the departure of Mauricio Larriera.
According to the newspaper "Los Andes," a large number of Godoy Cruz officials are in favor of the arrival of Pedro Troglio, who had a spell at 'Tomba' during 2004 and 2005.
"His name always circulates as a candidate to coach Godoy Cruz, but currently he is working at Universitario de Deportes in Lima, Peru, a club with which he has a contract until April 2019," stated the tabloid.
However, José Mansur, president of Godoy Cruz, has in mind strategist Walter Coyette, who does not have the support of the club's internal forces. Something that Pedro Troglio does have, by a wide margin.
"The biggest impediment for the return of Pedro Troglio is Mansur himself. The current president of Godoy Cruz did not like at all the way the coach left Godoy Cruz in 2005," explained the media.
So far, it is known that the Argentine coach feels comfortable at Universitario de Deportes and would respect the contract he signed when he arrived in the current season.
