Rory Fallon, historic New Zealand striker, assures that against Peru they will play an intelligent and dynamic match. He hopes that the 'All Whites' will come out victorious in Wellington.

The experienced forward of the New Zealand team, Rory Fallon, stated that the 'All Whites' will not repeat the mistakes they made against Mexico in the World Cup playoffs they played four years ago.

Fallon considered that the New Zealand team is in a curve of growth and evolution since they were clearly surpassed by Mexico in the playoffs for the 2014 World Cup, when they lost 5-1 at the Azteca Stadium and 2-4 in Wellington.

"It left us with a bitter taste because we felt that we were not clearly competitive. We made a lot of mistakes. We were not prepared enough, but it was a great learning experience as a team of what we should not do," said Fallon.

The 35-year-old forward considered that the progression of the Kiwis was confirmed when in the Confederations Cup played in Russia in June they only lost 2-1 to Mexico, in a match where they went to halftime with a 0-1 advantage thanks to a goal from forward Chris Wood.

The player, who currently plays in the seventh tier of English football, considered that New Zealand had one of the best performances in their history in that match.

"It was disappointing not to achieve a good result, but it will come and I feel that this time we will achieve it," Fallon added.

The footballer indicated that the most experienced players of the New Zealand team already know what it is like to play in a World Cup because they qualified for South Africa 2010, and added that they want to repeat their presence in Russia 2018, in what would be the third World Cup participation in the history of the 'All Whites'.
