One came to be one of the figures of the team, and the other to reaffirm his good performance in Sporting Cristal last season. Joel Sánchez and Cristian Ortiz had a bad year.
Rimenses will not continue at the club
Both anchored with former Sporting Cristal coach, José del Solar, who had them at Universidad San Martín in 2016. Joel even was part of the Peruvian national team that participated in the Copa América Centenario in 2015. His contribution had to be greater, but he never finished consolidating himself in the starting eleven.
Titi's case is similar. He scored 20 goals with the saints and his arrival to Sporting Cristal was a negotiation problem with Independiente de Avellaneda. Ortiz has more participation in the team, but he doesn't stand out. The two midfielders seem to have no place for the next season, in addition to the high cost of their salaries.
They would not have the trust of Sporting Cristal, and their renewals seem very complicated.
