Antonina Shevchenko Defeats Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix Fighting Championship 3
The ‘Panther’ defeated Anissa Haddaoui today at Phoenix Fighting Championship 3 by unanimous decision of the judges after three rounds of a bantamweight (61.2 kg) fight.
The 32-year-old ‘Panther’ was superior to her opponent throughout the entire fight. Thus, Valentina Shevchenko's older sister successfully returns to mixed martial arts (MMA) after a prolonged absence of more than a decade.
According to Antonina, a few days ago, this was her sixth professional MMA fight. "I had five professional MMA fights between 2002 and 2005, but there weren't many women fighting MMA before," she said.
"That's why, starting in 2006, I dedicated myself fully to muay thai. And as you know, there are now more opponents and it would be interesting to face them. That's the reason for my comeback," added Antonina Shevchenko.
On the other hand, the ‘Panther’ holds the bantamweight title of Lion Fight, one of the most important muay thai organizations in the United States. "I would like to defend my belt once before the end of the year," she said.
Antonina Shevchenko, who is also a student of Pavel Fedotov, stated that she hopes to fight again for the Peruvian muay thai team next year.
