Pedro Troglio to coach his 25th match with Universitario de Deportes

The National Stadium will be the stage for the match between the Peruvian National Team and the Colombian National Team in the closing of the Russia 2018 Qualifiers. However, the match between Deportivo Municipal and Universitario de Deportes for the Clausura Tournament could be suspended after the coaching staff of the national team recommended taking care of the field until October 10th.

The match is scheduled for this Saturday and Pedro Troglio, coach of the crema team, mentioned in a press conference at Campo Mar that he does not want to imagine that the match will not be played if a concert by Maroon 5 took place a few days ago.

"I don't want to imagine that we are not going to play (on Saturday), we have been preparing until today (Thursday). Also, why wouldn't we play if there was a concert on Wednesday at this stadium? There are still 20 days until the match. I think there is time, it would be a pity to postpone the championship, there will already be a lot of matches suspended because of the FIFA dates. It seems to me that postponing this match doesn't make sense," said Troglio.

"I wouldn't see it as very serious if they tell us today or tomorrow that we are not going to play. You can cancel the reservation or play it somewhere else. A football match on Saturday, I don't think it will ruin the field, the next day they start working and in 17 days it won't be perfect but it will improve a lot," he added.
