Arequipean José del Cid won in men's with a time of 12 hours, 56 minutes and 31 seconds. He was followed by Juan Carlos Sarmiento and Wilfredo Osorio.
Meanwhile, Baquerizo made it in 15 hours, 58 minutes and 23 seconds, leaving behind Peruvians Ruth Ticona and Gretel Molina.
The route was extreme as they had to endure the climate and altitude of the area, with the highest point being 4556 meters above sea level.
