Rodrigo Cuba is the second right back who works on the right flank within the call-up to the Peruvian national team. He will compete for a spot with Luis Advíncula for the match against Bolivia, since against Ecuador Aldo Corzo could return, who is suspended for the first game.
Ricardo Gareca did not want to call up another right back apart from Luis Advíncula. However, the injury of Miguel Araujo -center back of Alianza Lima who can also play as a fullback- complicated the plans and it was decided to recruit Rodrigo Cuba.
