Peruvian football players Paolo Guerrero and Miguel Trauco advanced to the semifinals of the 2017 Copa Brasil with Flamengo after eliminating Santos. They lost 4-2 in today's match, but in the first leg they beat their opponent 2-0 as the home team.
Flamengo, who qualified by goal difference, started winning the duel thanks to a goal from Colombian Orlando Berrío, who received an accurate pass from midfielder Diego. It happened ten minutes into the match.
An impressive shot from Bruno Henrique from outside the box equalized the score for Santos, at 33 minutes.
At the beginning of the second half, it was the turn of the Peruvian attacker. Guerrero received a pass from Éverton and shook the nets with a left-footed shot that went in below goalkeeper Vanderlei. In this way, the 'Predator' surpassed his best goal record.
But Santos didn't give up. They scored three goals and turned the score to 4-2, although it wasn't enough to qualify.
