Fellow countrymen show that it is not impossible to make a living out of your passion for playing video games.

This year Peruvians have shown an exceptional level in the field of eSports, making players from all over the world remember that Peru is a difficult opponent to beat. In addition, with the amount of money earned, these ProPlayers demonstrate that the myth of making a living playing video games is nothing more than that, a myth.

Among the top 25 players, we find Jhona_KRA (Luis Salazar) in first place, winning $70,000 throughout his career, mainly in Pro Evolution Soccer 2017. The second is Accel (Christian Cruz), a member of Infamous Gaming, the Peruvian Dota 2 team that made history by qualifying for The International.

We see, mainly, that Dota 2 is the game that is repeated the most throughout the list, with recognized players such as Kotaro, StingeR, SmAsH, benjaz, Kingteka, etc. This is not surprising, as it is the video game that has distributed the most money in prizes in the history of eSports.

On the other hand, we see in the 6th position Fenix (Jian Carlo Alejo), mainly winning with Starcraft II, Arce (Diego Chang) in the 11th place with League of Legends, Surprise (Joseph Caro) with Heroes of the Storm, and SebasPeCausa with Smite.

It is only in the 28th position that we see another game, with ScoreR (Miguel Sotelo) mainly winning in FIFA 2007, HunteR (Christopher Quevedo) with Warcraft III, Alvin with Super Smash Bros., Rivc with Starcraft: Brood War, Pock (Gianfranco Rosas) with Counter-Strike, and finally Zack (Zack Fernandez) with Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

This demonstrates that eSports is not a new topic in Peru, and that these Peruvian gamers are responsible for the growth of the industry in our country. It is worth noting that age is not a barrier to being on this list, as shown by Timado (Enzo Gianoli) in the 31st place, who at just 16 years old is going to participate in one of the biggest tournaments in the world with his team, Infamous Gaming, whose father spoke about the importance of family support when a young person shows interest in video games.
