Real Garcilaso defeated Alianza Atlético in Cusco. Alfredo Ramúa scored a brace and Tarek Carranza pulled one back.

Real Garcilaso made their home advantage count against Alianza Atlético in the Garcilaso de la Vega stadium for Matchday 10 of the Apertura Tournament. Thanks to this, the Cusco team remains in first place in the Apertura, although they must wait for Alianza Lima, UTC, and Sport Huancayo to not win in order to be the sole leader.

Real Garcilaso had clear that they cannot drop points at home. That's why Marcelo Grioni went for two '9's in attack: Carlos Neumann and Danilo Carando.

However, the standout player of the match was another and Real Garcilaso won thanks to set pieces. Alfredo Ramúa took advantage of two free kicks to defeat Steven Rivadeneyra. The first one surprised the goalkeeper and the second one was a true golazo.

Thanks to this, Real Garcilaso achieved seven consecutive home wins. In Cusco, they have become unbeatable, and that's one of the reasons why they are currently fighting for the Apertura title.

Alianza Atlético reduced the deficit from a penalty by Tarek Carranza. However, in the end, they failed to add points and remain in last place in the overall standings along with Juan Aurich.
