The Peruvian National Team U18 defeated Xolos de Tijuana U18 1-0 and qualified for the quarterfinals of the Copa Mitad el Mundo. The match was played at the Club Independiente de Valle's High Performance Center in Pichincha, Ecuador.
The Peruvian team opened the scoring in the 30th minute of the first half. After a corner kick, Alessandro Milesi scored with a header and defeated the Mexican goalkeeper, Luis Lopez. With this result, the Peruvian National Team finished second in Group A with 10 points and will face Independiente del Valle in the quarterfinals of the Copa Mitad del Mundo.

With the victory against Xolos, the 'Blanquirroja' (Peruvian National Team) achieved three wins, one draw, and one loss. The Peruvian U18 National Team is the only national representative that will compete in the next phase of the youth competition.
In the same group, Alianza Lima lost 1-0 against Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito and was eliminated from the youth tournament. On the other hand, Sporting Cristal was eliminated from the cup and finished their participation in the championship with a 1-0 loss against Universidad Catolica de Chile.
