"I say the same thing about Claudio Pizarro as I always say about players who started at Alianza Lima and have succeeded abroad. Him, Farfán, Guerrero, Carrillo, Hurtado, as long as I'm here, they will always have open doors if they want," said Bengoechea in a press conference.
"The club cannot pay what they deserve, but maybe they want to fulfill the dream of wearing the Alianza Lima shirt again. If they think it's the right time to come back to the club, they are welcome. It will be an honor for us. Since I arrived at Alianza Lima, I have had contact with them through the Peruvian national team and I have always expressed the same," he added.
Bengoechea also stated that it would be great for the younger players at Alianza Lima to work alongside Claudio Pizarro.
