Comission of Justice to sanction players involved in brawl
The Comission of Justice of the Peruvian Football Association will sanction four players this Tuesday for their involvement in a brawl following the match between Universitario and Alianza Lima last weekend at Monumental Stadium. The players involved are Luis Aguiar, Gonzalo Godoy, Horacio Benincasa, and Luis Tejada. Tejada could receive up to a four-match suspension for provoking the fight.
Tejada, who is from Panama, is accused of initiating the violence at the end of the match, which ended with a 2-1 victory for Alianza Lima. Referee Victor Hugo Carrillo included all four players in his final report as being expelled for their direct involvement in the brawl. However, Carrillo reportedly emphasized Tejada's role in a harsher manner.
