The Strongest Captain Focuses on Copa Libertadores Match against Santos
The captain of The Strongest, Pablo Daniel Escobar, assured that his teammates are only thinking about the match against Santos, for the Copa Libertadores de América, and have left behind the defeat against Bolívar last Sunday.
"It is not in Tigre's genes to lament like the rival team has lamented all last week about the famous suspended matches and rescheduling," the player said.
"We have already seen Santos, we know the quality of players they have, it's no secret, but we believe a lot in our work. We have played eight matches in this international tournament and have only had a setback. We have earned points in seven matches and have played good football. That is the basis of our confidence," said the captain regarding Wednesday's match.
Escobar did not play against Bolívar because he felt a muscle discomfort, which is why he wants to reappear with his team against Santos where they can secure their spot in the round of 16 of the tournament.
