With a last-minute goal by Salomón Rondón, Venezuela defeated Paraguay 1-0 in the 2nd match of the 2026 South American Qualifiers. The forward did not disappoint and converted from the penalty spot in added time.

Paraguay vs. Venezuela faced each other on the second round of World Cup 2026 Qualifiers. The match took place at the Monumental de Maturín today, Tuesday, September 12, starting at 5:00 pm (Peruvian time, one hour ahead in Venezuelan zone) and 7:00 pm in Paraguayan territory. On this occasion, the 'Vinotinto' managed to secure an important victory over the 'Albirroja', with a last-minute penalty goal by Salomón Rondon.
