The national forward will once again wear the shirt of the Peruvian National Team for the start of the South American qualifiers, in which we will face the 'Guaraníes' and the 'Scratch'.

It's their moment! In September next year, the Peruvian National Team will start their participation in the Qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, where they will have to compete against Paraguay and Brazil. In the midst of this context, it was announced that Juan Reynoso will announce the list of call-ups for both matches this Friday, and one of the names that would be on the 'Chess player's' list would be Raul Ruidiaz. This comes just after the forced absence of Gianluca Lapadula, who underwent ankle surgery and is currently in the recovery process.

In that sense, RPP announced that the Seattle Sounders forward will be called up by the 'Chess player', which was confirmed with the letter received by the North American club, which states the intention of the national coach for the matches in Paraguay and, subsequently, in Lima.

Pay attention to one detail, the last official match of Raul Ruidiaz with the Peruvian National Team was on September 10, 2021, in the 2-0 defeat against Brazil, so his return to the national team could happen after two long years of waiting.

Regarding friendly matches, the 'Flea' was called up for the preparation match against Germany (the Peruvian national team lost the match 2-0), playing 45 minutes under the command of Juan Reynoso, the current coach of the 'Blanquirroja'.

When does Peru play against Paraguay and Brazil?

According to the CONMEBOL calendar, the Peruvian National Team will face Paraguay and Brazil in the first round of the South American Qualifiers. Against the first opponent, the match will be played on September 7th at the Antonia Aranda Stadium in Ciudad del Este. The match will take place at 5:30 p.m. (Peruvian time) and tickets are already on sale.

Although there were talks of other venues, such as the Monumental, it is finally planned to be held at the Coloso de Jose Diaz. For this match, season tickets and promotions are already available.
