The selector Fernando Batista attended an event in Paraguay organized by Conmebol and spoke about the start of the South American qualifiers.
"We are ready to work, we lack nothing," said the coach, according to statements collected by the EFE agency.
"With little time left for the qualifiers, we want to build a competitive team, reach the required level, and we know it's not easy, but we will try to do our best," added Batista.
The Vinotinto will face Colombia in Barranquilla on September 7th and Paraguay in Maturín on the 12th, in the first double match of the pre-World Cup.
The coach also highlighted the new development project of the FVF, "Corazón Vinotinto," as part of the plan for their World Cup aspirations.
"The idea is to do our best for Venezuela through an important project. We have a lot of time ahead of us and I am very confident in what we want to achieve, not only in the senior team but also in the youth teams," affirmed the selector.
The U-17 and U-15 Venezuelan national teams are currently in Argentina as part of their preparation for the World Cup and the South American Championship, respectively.
