First Half Electric in General Caballero vs Cerro Porteño
In an electrifying first half, General Caballero is currently leading Cerro Porteño 2-1, thanks to a serious defensive mistake that resulted in a great goal by young Cristhian Báez.
At the 34th minute of the first half, General Caballero's youngster Cristhian Báez took advantage of the passivity of Cerro Porteño's left back, Gabriel Báez. The young player from the Ka'arendy team shot an incredible right-footed shot that went past Jean Fernandes.
As usual when conceding a goal, the Brazilian goalkeeper reacted strongly, hitting the ground with both hands, clearly expressing his displeasure with Báez's defensive error.

Everyone at Olimpia is anxious about the situation of Derlis González, their most important player, who suffered a chilling injury to his left knee during the white and black derby.
After the initial tests, Olimpia issued a statement about the exact situation of the forward, clarifying that the results are "not yet conclusive," but there is evidence of "bone involvement."
"The athlete suffered an indirect impact on his left knee. Clinically, moderate instability was found. The studies confirm bone involvement of the tibia and ligaments, without conclusive severity due to the present edema," the first part of the statement reads.
Later on, it states that further testing will be done once the inflammation goes down, to have a clearer picture of the situation surrounding #10.
"The plan is to reduce joint inflammation for 5-7 days and repeat the MRI to determine the exact extent of the injury," concludes the statement.
For now, Derlis González has been removed from the Paraguayan national team for the friendly match against Chile on March 27 in Santiago.

The reason? As journalist Rubén Sosa from Nación Media revealed, the Argentine coach was unable to attend the press conference, as he became voiceless after the match and was not in a condition to give statements.
The defeat was a big blow for Libertad, who were undefeated in the tournament and comfortable at the top of the standings.
