The Tank's joy at his return to the Albirroja
"I really wanted to come back, and now I want to enjoy it in the best possible way," said El Tanque in a conversation broadcast on the official national team website.
"I'm very happy, very proud, and very grateful to God, my family, and of course to the Albirroja for calling me again, for counting on me for this dream that we are about to start," added the powerful striker.
The return of the Argentine naturalized Paraguayan came after his great performance in the local championship and in the Copa Libertadores with his team aurinegro. "That shows that when you do things well and work as you should, these unique opportunities come your way," he pointed out.
When asked about the debut of Eduardo Berizzo's team, Bobadilla emphasized the importance of these first two matches. "I imagine a good debut, starting on the right foot," he said.
"These two matches are going to be very important, essential for everything that is to come. I believe that we have a good group, very good players, and I am totally convinced that if we set our minds on achieving the dream, we will achieve it. That's why we have to start by winning," he stressed.
Paraguay makes its debut on Thursday, October 8th against Peru at the Defensores del Chaco stadium at 7:30 pm. The second match will be against Venezuela at the Metropolitano de Mérida stadium at 6:00 pm.
