Miguel Almirón was once again a substitute in Newcastle's 0-3 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion in the second match of the English Premier League.

Almirón as a substitute again

Paraguayan midfielder Miguel Almirón was on the bench for the second consecutive league match and came on in the second half to try to turn around the 0-2 scoreline. However, he was unable to do so.

Manager's explanation

Newcastle's coach, Steve Bruce, explained that Almirón's substitution was due to the great performance by English forward Andrew Carroll in the previous match.
