Club Olimpia publicly expresses their position one day after the leak of evidence involving the president of the institution in alleged match-fixing of the Paraguayan championship.
The investigation, which is ongoing in Switzerland, began at the beginning of the year following a complaint from an individual to the APF, which then forwarded the documents to FIFA.
Trovato, on Wednesday, provided details on 1080 AM and stated that the case could take a turn by being able to prove a plot against him, and that all the presented evidence is actually false. After these statements, evidence began circulating on social media on Thursday, causing a stir.
Olimpia, institutionally, issued a statement on Friday clarifying that they will not make any comments while the investigation is ongoing, to respect the confidentiality code to which they are subject.
In addition to reminding that it was the Olimpia institution that proposed the implementation of Financial Fair Play to transparently manage the funds that support Paraguayan football clubs, they strongly announced that once the case is closed, they will take legal actions against those who harmed the club's image and its directors.
