Miguel Brunotte, Olimpia's treasurer, celebrated the return of Paraguayan soccer as it provides economic relief to the club, which has a high monthly budget.

"The start of the championship has allowed us to regain ground economically. We need this to continue and not stop," he said in an interview with FALG.

Regarding salary payments, Brunotte stated that they are up to date. "During the break, we reached an agreement with some players and the coaching staff to reduce salaries. Now, with the return of soccer, we are paying 100% and we are up to date," he explained.

With the termination of Togolese player Emmanuel Adebayor's contract, there was an economic respite in Olimpia's monthly budget, but the goal for next year is to continue reducing costs. "We have a monthly commitment of $1.3 million, which was reduced with Adebayor's departure. The idea is to reach $800,000 per month as the budget for 2021," he mentioned.

Regarding the Copa Libertadores match against Santos, scheduled for Tuesday, September 15th at 9:30 PM, Brunotte indicated that they will take "all necessary measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19," he concluded.
