The Competitions Manager of the Paraguayan Football Association (APF), Michael Sánchez, lamented what happened with the General Díaz team and the violation of the sanitary quarantine by a player from 12 de Octubre.

"I felt a deep disappointment. I shook myself off, thought clearly and focused again on the main thing, which is the start of the tournament on July 17 and finishing the tournament without any inconvenience," said Sánchez to La Sobremesa de Fútbol a lo Grande, regarding the embarrassing action carried out by General Díaz on Saturday by breaking the protocol by hiring unqualified referees.

Sánchez also pointed out: "We are subject to what the Tribunal and the Medical Commission tell us. From my position, I have to wait for the decisions to inform the club's directors." Sánchez expressed his surprise at the actions of the leadership.

"It was not in our plans for this to happen, we are all committed. A friendly match against Guairena was planned, which was suspended." He mentioned that he spoke with the General's directors, who explained what happened.

ABENTE CASE. Yesterday, the APF issued a statement requesting "that the 12 de Octubre de Itauguá club provide us, during the day of July 13, 2020, with a detailed description of the alleged incidents attributed to player Juan Gabriel Abente. If the alleged incidents are confirmed, they will constitute a very serious violation of the APF protocol."
