Violation of Health Protocol at Sportivo Luqueño

One week before the restart of the 2020 Apertura Tournament, a new incident occurred at Sportivo Luqueño, where close associates of President Celso Cáceres violated the health protocol established by the Paraguayan Football Association (APF) and the Smart Quarantine.

In the viral image circulated on social media, it can be seen that collaborators and individuals who were part of Cáceres' list for the upcoming assembly were not wearing face masks and did not observe social distancing within the VIP box at the Feliciano Cáceres stadium.

The president of Sportivo Luqueño admitted that there may have been some non-compliance but downplayed the incident by stating that the sports venue can accommodate 50 people and only 10 were present. He also claimed that the health and safety of the players were not compromised as there was no contact with them, and that they had informed the APF about the situation.
