In an interview with El Extra de Fútbol a lo Grande on 1080 AM, Regis Marques, representative of Miguel Samudio, former player of Olimpia, stated that it is most likely that the winger will continue his professional career in Brazilian football.
"We are in talks with two or three clubs here in Brazil, we are looking for the best option for him," said the Brazilian businessman.
The 33-year-old defender has already had a spell in Brazil: in 2014 he defended the colors of Cruzeiro.
Samudio was one of the many players whose contract ended in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic and did not reach an agreement to extend his contract with the Paraguayan four-time champion to play the rest of the Apertura tournament.
END OF THE CYCLE. His departure from Olimpia was amid controversy. The club decided to exercise the purchase option after his legal problem.
On May 18, Judge Mirko Valinotti ordered the house arrest of Samudio, who was charged by the Prosecutor's Office for violating the health quarantine by leaving his home and causing a traffic accident.
The athlete was outside his residence on Friday, May 1, around 8:00 p.m., when the incident occurred on Médicos del Chaco Avenue. Allegedly, he had gone shopping at the supermarket.
