Protocol Presentation and Approval

This protocol will be presented tomorrow at the meeting of presidents and the Executive Committee of the APF, where it must be approved, and then passed to the SND and the Ministry of Health, which will give its approval, and thus the training will resume and a date will be set for the restart of the Apertura tournament.

Brunstein, in an interview with Fútbol a lo Grande, on Radio Monumental 1080 AM, detailed who will be subjected to controls: "Those who comply with the protocol will be tested, the number per team is 35, 25 players plus 10 support staff, that is the minimum requirement". Clarifying: "Television technicians are not in contact with players and do not need to be tested as often. Referees, however, will be tested. And there will be no ball boys, about ten disinfected balls will be prepared per match. Nobody should have access to the players, only those who are under the protocol."

The doctor also commented on the role of the press in the games: "We are very short of budget and we are not currently able to provide what the press deserves, and if we are going to ask the clubs for these matters, they are not included in the budget for investment in that."

"We are going to present an agreement to the APF with an institute, and we are going to present another company that will collect the samples. There will be a fixed place where all the samples will be collected from all the players," explained the healthcare professional about the control work methodology for the players.

At another point, Brunstein stated that it could even be possible to collect samples from the football players from their cars at a location to be determined, in order to avoid contact. The tests would currently be once a week for all the people affected by the protocol.

The doctors of the First Division clubs will meet this afternoon and finalize the text they will present to the APF tomorrow.

Juan Portillo, Deputy Minister: "The objective is to ensure health"

Juan Carlos Portillo, Deputy Minister of Comprehensive Health Care, made it clear that sports activities depend on the National Sports Secretary (Secretaría Nacional de Deportes) and the APF (in the case of football), with prior authorization from the ministry.

"We have to support the safe exit from quarantine, not only for those in a club, but for the general population. The sports part is under the Sports Secretary, in football it is under the association. We are concerned about health and we will support all initiatives in that regard, and if a joint review of the regulations is necessary, it will be done," emphasized the health authority.

Dr. Miguel Romero, Olimpia: "The request was made by the players"

Doctor Miguel Romero, in charge of health at Olimpia, specified that the request to return to individual training was initiated by the players of the club. "We need to coordinate everything within the association for the start of activities. The start of individual activities was requested by the players. They are going through a delicate situation being isolated and unable to carry out their activities; taking this need into account, we decided to advance the planned tasks for other phases, within the safety measures," explained Romero, who was present at the inspection of Villa Olimpia and also at the inspection of Para Uno on Tuesday.
