This evening Cerro Porteño and Barcelona SC face each other in the third stage of the Copa Libertadores and the goalkeeper of the Ecuadorian team could not even complete 15 minutes of the match.
It was the 13th minute when Jorge Benítez, forward of the Paraguayan team, ran at high speed until reaching the opponent's area and, as the ball went away, he kicked the face of goalkeeper Javier Barri, who was lying down to receive the ball. However, upon receiving the blow, he had no reaction.
Seeing him lying down, his teammates approached to see him, but the goalkeeper had received a cut on his face due to the collision and was bleeding. An ambulance was called to pick him up. The change was made urgently and goalkeeper Víctor Mendoza replaced him.
So far, Barcelona SC is winning 4-0 against Cerro Porteño as a visitor in the return match. In the first leg, they already have a 1-0 advantage.
