Paraguayan forward Derlis González could play for Olimpia
This Tuesday, the possibility that Paraguayan forward Derlis González, currently playing for Santos in Brazil, could play for Olimpia in the 2020 season resurfaced.
According to Miguel Brunotte, Olimpia is waiting for a definitive answer, although he denied that the club has made a final economic proposal to sign the player.
The forward, who came out of Rubio Ñu's academy, is not getting minutes at Santos, and this situation is seen as favorable. "We are waiting for things to progress, they give us hope because we know he is not playing," he assumed in a conversation with Fútbol a lo Grande.
Derlis González's desire is not to continue at Santos and return to Paraguay to play for Olimpia. If it materializes, he would return after 5 years. The attacker played for Para Uno in 2014, where he played 20 matches and scored 9 goals.
Olimpia's president, Marco Trovato, indicated that Dynamo Kyiv, the club that owns the player's pass, asked for USD 5,000,000 for 50% of the fee.
