The midfielder Jesús Medina failed to score the second goal for Paraguay after the great save by goalkeeper Rubén Cordano from Bolivia. The match for the second round of Group B of the Pre-Olympic Under-23 is being played at the Hernán Ramírez Villegas stadium in Pereira.
In the 58th minute, Medina came forward to take the penalty. The Paraguayan midfielder kicked the ball low, while Cordano dove to the right side of the goal. However, the legs of the Bolivian saved the goal and prevented the second goal for the 'Albirroja'.
The goal for Paraguay came in the 45th minute of the match. Sergio Bareiro took advantage of a cross by Enzo Giménez to head towards the 'Verde' goal. The superb header ended up in the lower left corner of the net, opening the scoring.
Paraguay is winning 1-0 against Bolivia in the second match of Group B of the Pre-Olympic Under-23. The 'Albirroja' has earned its first three points in the tournament and is currently in third place in their group, tied with Brazil and Uruguay.
