Paraguay prepares for friendly match against Saudi Arabia
The match will be Paraguay's second friendly this week after facing Bulgaria in Sofia, with a one-goal advantage for the visitors.
The tour, which caused the suspension of the Paraguayan Clausura tournament this week, will end with the match at the Prince Faisal bin Fahad bin Abdulaziz Stadium.
The practice consisted of physical tests with and without a ball, while the goalkeepers trained separately with the goalkeeper coach, Roberto Bonano, as informed by the Paraguayan Football Association (APF) in a statement.
Berizzo also led a tactical work emphasizing on the associations within the scheme that the Argentine coach is trying to implement in the squad, which will determine the team that will compete for a spot in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Another training session is scheduled for Sunday.
Miguel Almiron was the architect of Paraguay's winning goal against a weak Bulgaria, and where Berizzo tested his new possession-style football.
After the match, the Argentine coach especially praised Almiron's performance and that of full-back Blas Riveros, who could play again on Tuesday against Saudi Arabia.
