Paraguay defeats Jordan 4-2 in friendly match

The Paraguayan national football team reversed an adverse score in the first half (0-2) and defeated Jordan 4-2 in a friendly match played on Tuesday in Amman.

The Paraguayan team, led by Argentine Eduardo Berizzo, scored through Oscar Romero, Miguel Almirón, Robert Rojas, and Alejandro Romero at the 60th, 73rd, 74th, and 88th minutes of the game, respectively.

The team known as "Al Nashama," directed by Belgian Vital Borkelmans, scored with goals from Mousa Altamarie and Yaseen Bakheet at the 43rd and 45th minutes of the game.

In the first half, Berizzo tested a majority of substitutes, including the debutant youth Iván Franco from Libertad de Asunción.

Paraguay suffered setbacks due to counterattacks from the two skillful Jordanian forwards, Mousa Altamarie and Yaseen Bakheet.

The second half was dominated by the Paraguayan team in all its lines, with the introduction of experienced players Derlis González, Miguel Almirón, and Richard Sánchez.

Equipped with great headers, Paraguay's first three goals were the result of "headers": the first by Romero (San Lorenzo de Almagro), Miguel Almirón (Newcastle), and Robert Rojas (River Plate). Alejandro Romero (New York Red Bulls) sealed the victory with a powerful run.

With this win, Paraguay recovered from a loss against Japan last Thursday in Kashima (0-2).

On October 13, they will face Slovakia at the national stadium in Bratislava.

Under the orders of Iraqi referee Wathiq Albaaj, the teams lined up as follows:
