The Return of Necaxa to the Comarca Lagunera

The return of Necaxa to the Comarca Lagunera is preceded by a need for points, given the unfavorable streak they have had so far in the tournament and the urgency to accumulate points in their visit to Santos Laguna this Sunday.

On Saturday, the team from Aguascalientes was well received by the few fans they have in La Laguna and the players could not be in any other mindset than a friendly one, to reciprocate those displays of affection.

"Santos has been playing very well, they have outstanding players, we have to play an intelligent game as we have always done away from home and try to counteract Santos' work."

- Alfonso Sosa, coach of Necaxa

Alfonso Sosa, coach of Necaxa, reiterated that a difficult game awaits them against Santos. He said that the moment both teams are going through is very different from each other, however, he assured that he will not give up in the search for a good result.

The coach highlighted the difficulty of defeating the team from La Laguna, on a field they have not set foot on for a long time, which is why they are motivated.

"We know that Santos is difficult to beat at home, they have excellent players and are coming from a good game, in which they defeated Coras by five to zero," expressed the coach, who is confident that his team will shake off the thrashing they received against Querétaro.

Claudio Riaño, on the other hand, pointed out that against a team like Santos they need to maintain defensive order and take advantage of the opportunities that arise to achieve the goal set in training, which is a positive result.

The Argentinean stated: "We must be alert, Santos is a team that plays very well, especially at home, so we must not give them space and be very aware of their dangerous players."

He lamented that his team has had ups and downs in the current tournament, so he sees a great need to correct some details that are affecting them, particularly in the defensive aspect. "We hope to take advantage of opportunities to do damage to the local team," he said.

Felipe Gallegos, midfielder for Necaxa, on the other hand, assured that you also learn from defeats, and against Santos they will try to make everything different.

"It was a painful defeat, we had many inaccuracies, missed passes, controls, but you learn a lot from these types of games. Now we have turned the page and we are thinking about the next match. Querétaro also deserves credit, they played an intelligent game and took advantage of their chances.
