The dressing room at Atlas is stronger than one might think, at least that's what José Madueña claimed. After suffering a tough blow last weekend by losing to Chivas in the Tapatío Classic, the Atlas defender stated that confidence in José Guadalupe Cruz's project remains intact.
"Yes (we still believe), I see the team committed and personally I still believe, and I see my teammates the same way. We had a bad game and a bad Classic, but now we hope that against Cruz Azul we can finally win away and show a different face. We aim to win and show that we can," he said.

Although confidence in their coach remains strong, Madueña revealed that after the game against Chivas they received a new scolding from the 'Profe', who openly criticized the lack of attitude from his team in such an important match.
"(The scolding) was because they can't run more than us, they can't come to our home and impose conditions on us, that was the wake-up call. No one can do that to us, especially not Chivas and no rival can come and run more than us," he concluded.
