Operation to ensure safety at Jalisco Stadium

As part of the operations to guarantee the safety of attendees at Jalisco Stadium, where a football match between the two most popular teams in the region, Chivas and Atlas, will take place, the Guadalajara police maintain teams that comb the surroundings of the stadium to detect objects that could be used as weapons. They remove stones, sticks, glass, and other objects from the streets and gardens, which, in some cases, appear to have been intentionally placed.

The teams that have traveled various streets around the football venue have removed various objects from sidewalks and fields, but they have also found stones and some sharp objects hidden among the branches of some trees, a situation that had already been reported on Thursday, February 9.

The police have called on football fans, especially the supporters of Atlas and Chivas of Guadalajara, to maintain sanity and not engage in aggression, brawls, or other violent situations.

The department, led by Commissioner Salvador Caro Cabrera, had previously announced that meetings had been held with the leaders of different fan groups, who had committed to abide by municipal laws and regulations. However, an operation will be carried out to ensure peace at this sporting event that arouses a special passion among the fans of the teams involved.

Return of the admission right at Jalisco Stadium

In the vicinity of Jalisco Stadium, some banners with four faces of Chivas fans caught attention.

It turns out that, due to the recent security problems between the Chivas and Atlas fan clubs, four supporters of Chivas will not be allowed to enter the stadium this evening. The names were kept reserved by the municipal authorities, but there are police officers at each gate with the pictures to prohibit access.

It has been clarified that they will not be arrested; they simply will not be allowed to enter this match.
