Injury Concerns for Marco Fabián Ahead of Bundesliga Restart

Mexican midfielder Marco Fabián is in doubt to start the second half of the Bundesliga season with Eintracht Frankfurt due to a hip injury that has been bothering him since the winter preseason.

During the team's training camp in Abu Dhabi during the German football break, the former Chivas Guadalajara player was unable to complete some sessions due to the discomfort, which puts his participation in the first game of the year in doubt.

The team's coach, Croatian Niko Kovac, stated that he sees it as unlikely that Fabián de la Mora will be at 100 percent for the match against Red Bull Leipzig, as he has not been training at the same intensity as his teammates.

"Marco had problems with his hip during the winter training camp as he felt pain in the last game against Mainz. The situation did not improve, in fact it got worse. We will observe how he evolves in the coming days," emphasized the coach.

Eintracht Frankfurt is currently in fourth place in the Bundesliga with 29 points, the same number of points that gives them hope of qualifying for the Champions League next season.
