Pumas President Encourages the Team Before Match Against Cruz Azul

On Friday morning, an unexpected visit disrupted the training of Pumas' first team. Rodrigo Ares de Parga, president of Universidad Nacional, arrived at the squad's concentration and spoke to them: "I told them that we are favorites this Sunday, that's how I see it, starting against Cruz Azul," he commented in a press conference.

Next to Gerardo Alcoba, the executive mentioned that, beyond the million-dollar signings of La Máquina, the auriazul squad doesn't need anything from their opponent in this match: "We have very capable people, on the field and on the bench. We respect the team we are facing, but we know we can win."

Ares de Parga also spoke about the modifications to the Estadio Olímpico, which will feature some renovations starting this weekend, such as numbered seats in different areas of the stadium: "The idea behind all this was to make it more functional for the fans, adapt the venue, and make it more family-friendly."
