Chivas suffers a painful absence for their first match of the League

The attack of Chivas will not start complete against Pumas this Saturday. Carlos "Charal" Cisneros will not be eligible for the match due to plantar fasciitis. Almeyda is close to the player and wants him to fully recover before returning to the competition. They will not rush his process until he can train at full capacity, although there is no exact date for his return.

To replace Cisneros, Almeyda has several options in his team. One of them is to move Javier Eduardo López to that position, even though he is not a specialist in playing on the wing, he has the ability to create opportunities and connect with Pulido or the attacking midfielders. Chofis, who is one of the most talented players in the institution, could also have the opportunity against Pumas. Another option is to play with Chelo Zaldívar as the main striker and position Alan Pulido behind him, while assigning a midfielder to play on the wing.

Chofis or Zaldívar are the main options to replace Cisneros. They have different qualities but both provide offensive options for Almeyda in this weekend's match.

Just like in the previous tournament when the coach considered Oswaldo Alanís as a starter, now he will have to wait to put Cisneros in the lineup, and it is still unknown how long he will be out of action.
