In case Pachuca conquers the 2016-2017 Concacaf Champions League, goalkeeper Óscar Pérez could reconsider retirement, which he has planned for the end of the Clausura 2017 Tournament.
"I already planned it, if perhaps I have the Club World Cup pending, but we'll see at the right moment, hopefully we can be there," he said.
He stated that he does not regret leaving after the "Bella Airosa" team won the Clausura 2016 by defeating Monterrey in the final.
"The truth is that I am very happy, it was a great year for me, for Pachuca, the time I have been here we have reached playoffs, finals and I am very happy for what we have experienced," he told TDN.
Furthermore, he explained that there is a possibility that after retirement he will work to stay involved with the Hidalgo team, without specifying in what capacity.
"There is an invitation there to continue being part of the institution, I am very happy that they continue to consider me, I would gladly support," he concluded.
The team directed by Uruguayan Diego Alonso will face Saprissa from Costa Rica in the quarterfinals of the "Concachampions", a series that will be played on February 21 and 28.
