FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Guess who’s back, back again, Izzy’s back, tell a friend. After a brief stint in the Mexican League, Ismael Alcantara has returned to the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.
His return is a huge addition to the RedHawks, especially on the base paths. Izzy entered Friday with a league-best 32 stolen bases, and he is on pace to break the Fargo-Moorhead single-season record of 47 stolen bases.
Not to be outdone, Alcantara also has a .350 batting average, the second-highest average in the American Association.
Izzy returns to Fargo after playing only four games for Aguascalientes in the Mexican League.
