Siboldi pointed out that all defeats hurt, but he is already thinking about the match against Rayados, the most important game for the fans of the Tigers.
GUADALAJARA - Tigres, the current Mexican soccer champion, succumbed to Atlas with a score of 2-0 at the Jalisco Stadium. However, for Robert Dante Siboldi, the coach of the Tigers, letting go of the three points is now in the past, as the next objective is the Clásico Regio.
After losing to the rojinegros, the Tigres coach mentioned in a press conference that he has to put the defeat in the eighth round aside, as an important episode is coming up: the Clásico Regio against Monterrey's Rayados.
"All defeats hurt, whether it's a derby or not. What's important is to get back up. Now we have to prepare for the match against Monterrey's Rayados, an important match for our people and for us. What they tried today was to bring out the best from the players," commented Robert Dante Siboldi at the end of the match at the Jalisco Stadium.
Siboldi considered that Tigres played well despite the setback against Atlas and finds a positive sign in favor of the Clásico Regio: "The positive thing is that the team didn't stop despite not being sharp, we didn't have a good game starting with my self-criticism. We have to plan the week to face the next opponent (Clásico Regio), today some young players got minutes, it's important that Marcelo Flores start playing; Diego Lainez trying to help, today (Sebastián) Fierro played and showed a lot of character," added Siboldi about the performance of his team ahead of the match against Monterrey's Rayados.
Siboldi pointed out that the issue of absences cannot be controlled: "You can't diminish the team because of absences, we have to adapt and we have to become the team that generates and proposes. Generation of soccer and seek to sustain to have more options. We will continue working based on what we have," added the Tigres strategist.
The Clásico Regio between Tigres and Monterrey's Rayados will be played next Saturday at the Universitario Stadium. Rayados comes from beating León's Esmeraldas 3-1, and with this victory, Fernando 'El Tano' Ortíz's team is in fifth place with thirteen points, while the Tigers are in fourth place with one more point.
