PUEBLA, MEXICO --- Guatemalan footballer Savianna Gómez had a dream day this Sunday with Club Puebla Femenil in the Liga MX, scoring her second brace of the tournament and rescuing a 2-2 draw against Atlético San Luis at the Cuauhtémoc Stadium in Puebla City.

Gómez did not start in Puebla's lineup, coming on as a substitute in the second half to replace Samantha Martínez, achieving a positive result for coach María López as they earned a point in Matchday 9 of the Liga MX Femenil Apertura 2023.

In the first goal, Savianna Gómez received an assist from her compatriot Aisha Solórzano on the left side to reduce the deficit. Minutes later, at minute 65, she completed her brace by placing the ball and scoring with her right foot to make it 2-2 in the match.

Immediately, the praise for Savianna Sánchez poured in through the social media of Club Puebla Femenil, making reference to the Guatemalan National Anthem in this month of independence.

"I hope she soars higher than the condor and the royal eagle and, on her wings, reaches the sky, Guatemala, your name immortal," Club Puebla Femenil posted alongside photos of Savianna Gómez's celebration.

"We all need a Savi in our lives! Just calmly, she made the draw. Love you, my number 10," was written during the second goal of the match.

This is the second brace that Savianna Gómez has scored in Mexican football. Fifteen days ago, she achieved it for the first time against Club Pachuca in a 4-3 victory.

Puebla has five points with one win, two draws, and six defeats. They are currently in 15th place in the overall standings. Their next match will be on Sunday, September 10, against Toluca as an away game.
