The Mexican player would also be ruled out for the next Wednesday's match against Santos at the Volcano, this due to the short time for his recovery.
"We inform our fans that Diego Lainez suffered a sprained left knee due to a strain of the medial collateral ligament. His return to group work will be subject to evolution," the club's statement said on Twitter this Saturday just before noon.

In light of this, Robert Dante Siboldi will have to modify the starting eleven he had been working with during the week, and it could be that Raymundo Fulgencio takes Lainez's place as a left winger.
The other option is for Juan Pablo Vigón to enter the midfield, accompanying Rafael Carioca in the defensive midfield, which would lead to Fernando Gorriarán playing as a midfielder.
Tigres finished their preparations this Saturday with a morning practice at the Volcano, and after noon they departed for Monterrey airport, where they had lunch.
The team flies to Mexico City at 3:00 PM and will concentrate in a hotel near the Olympic Stadium of UNAM, where they will face Pumas on Sunday at 6:05 PM.
